promises promises

soo lent is just around the corner and usually the main thing that means for me is fish taco fridays and ONLY 40 Days till I get to start wearing my favorite jcrew white pants! But this year i'm going for some serious promises.

My tactics usually end up with giving up like 4 or 5 things so if i fail at one at least I have the others (or fail at 4 at least I have one left) So this year i'm going to make it a challenege. I'm giving up 2 THINGS and making a pact with one. (3 total...big strides people). I already have give up thing one locked in, but i'd like to leave this open to the masses for thing 2.

Thought process: What do I obsess over most
facebook / twitter not gonna work i need this for my job and campaign.. e're shooting for a clean break here

gossip girl unfortunately Josh Schwartz is forcefully taking this away from me for lent.. no new episodes until April 18th

shopping even if i wanted to shop i couldn't, no $$ till august. so depressing for my spring wardrobe, donations and hand me downs are accepted.

love and other drugs

Okay now that the movie is out on video i feel it is safe to give my review. First of all Jamie Randall, lets get married.

Other observations are :

• this is the 1st Anne Hatthaway movie I can watch without being like gosh she is soo annoying.
• Pharmaceutical sales looks like a real beast, but also something fun i maybe later in life would like to tackle?
• I want a lifestyle, loft, and occupation the same as Maggie. I'd also like to change my name to something carefree like Maggie, Mary sounds too formal or I don't even know.. any suggestions?
• I never really knew too much about Parkinson's until seeing this movie... I mean i know that it IS A MOVIE, but it is crazy that there are people out there actually living through this, and getting through it.

I guess the main thing i've gotten out of this movie .....other than the amazingly promising love plot line, that yes your perfect match is out there somewhere....fingers crossed right? ..... is that YES i am soooo incredibly blessed with the life that I have. The fact that my immediate family is safe and living and we are all in great health. I thank God every day for the things in my life .. I should probably thank him 5 times a day.. but hey who's counting! I hope if anything this movie gives that to you too.

Things coming up in this quite contrary life of mine:

• 2nd round of exams! ohhh boy!!
• spring break at home and the LAKEEEEE can't wait to spend some QT with Keekda and Mikey
• Roundup in Austin with Caroline, Kirby, Grace, and Taylor
• Make-A-Wish World Wish Day!
• Working on the applying process for jobs starting in AUGUST! (holy crap)
• SPRING which means lots of pool and river time... EVERYONE COME VISIT!!!
• And hopefully a much needed trip to faytown for ROW WEEK 2011 (our last one!!!)
• NO GOSSIP GIRL TILL APRIL 18th! Who has found a way to cope?!?!

Hope this post finds you sleeping, I have no clue why i'm not. Hopefully a weekend of rest will make this strep throat go away!

toosday gossip

so blogeteers, since all of my shows are on Mondays now (quite the problem when dvr only records 2 at a time) i've decided to do a little post to discuss the recent episodes.....

If you don't already, you should definitely start reading NYMagazine's Gossip Girl Reality Index.. they are most often hilarious, and always saying exactly what i'm thinking. A couple of my favorites from this week were...

----okay but seriously, what happened to violets? And lets just talk about Chuck for a second... since when does he "give his heart away" so easily.. First rando french girl and now chi town princess. I'm SO over this, how about you?

Serena: "Thank you for saving me from a Valentine's Day even more depressing than the movie I was going to watch about it." PLUS 4 because hey, wait, the cast of this show are the only actors in Hollywood who weren't in that godforsaken film.
